Panda is, technically… not a panda.
He just looks exactly like one.
Introduced as a student at Tokyo Jujutsu High in Jujutsu Kaisen, Panda walks, talks, throws hands, and attends class like everyone else. No one really questions it. It’s just “yeah, that’s Panda.” Totally normal. Completely standard Tuesday in JJK.
What makes Panda awesome is that he’s actually a cursed corpse, a specially engineered being created by Principal Yaga. Instead of one core like most constructs, Panda has multiple “cores,” meaning multiple personalities and combat modes living inside one body. Cute mascot energy on the surface… secret tactical powerhouse underneath. Classic bait and switch.
Fans love Panda because he’s the perfect tone balance. He’s funny, chill, and emotionally supportive one second, then absolutely body-slamming opponents the next. He feels less like comic relief and more like the team’s big brother. Protective, dependable, and surprisingly deep for a guy shaped like a plush toy.
Also yeah… watching a literal panda throw down in hand-to-hand combat never stops being funny or cool.
