Mythical Mountain Jacksonville does comics a little differently. Instead of weekly new releases, our comic program is built around back issues: the wild, wonderful, ever-changing world of comics that have already begun their journey.
That means every visit is part treasure hunt. You might find a childhood favorite, a missing issue from your run, a strange crossover you forgot existed, a wall-worthy key, or a stack of readers you never knew you needed.

Good to Know:
We do not sell weekly new comics, and we do not currently offer pull lists or subscription boxes for new releases. If you are looking for this week’s fresh-off-the-truck issue, we may not be your stop.
But if you love digging through comic history, filling gaps, discovering weird old stories, or finding something you did not know you were looking for, welcome to the Mountain.

We Accept Collections
Sometimes collections are ready for their next adventure. Whether you are clearing space, changing focus, helping family sort through a collection, or just ready to let a few treasures move on, our Jacksonville store is the place to start.

What we Consider
We consider items similar to the types of things we sell in our stores, primarily: Comics, Toys, and Pop Culture Collectibles.
We do not buy or sell any singles for Sports Cards or Trading Card Games, Clothing, or Video Games.

How to Submit a Collecion
Our buyer personally looks at each collection that comes in, so you know it has been thoroughly vetted.
Because he is often out of the office looking at cool new stuff, we do ask that you drop collections off at our Jacksonville location for consideration.
No appointment necessary, please just make sure to bring a Photo ID!

Our Process
Once our buyer does some research on the items in your collection, he can make you an offer.
This generally takes 2-3 Business days, but may be longer based on the number of items currently in process.
If the offer is accepted, depending on the size of the offer, we can generally pay Cash, Check, PayPal, or Venmo.
Frequently asked questions
Do You Carry Comics?
Absolutely! We have over 50,000 Back Issues in stock (with more coming in every day!). We also carry Trade Paperbacks, Hard Covers, Omnibuses, and Absolute Editions from Marvel, DC, and Image as well as Indie Publishers.
Do you carry new comics?
We do not. We stock an extensive collection of Back Issues, including rare and hard to find items, but we do not stock new single-issue comics.
Is your entire inventory available online?
Oh Gosh No! We have so much more in-store! We have a ton of items that need to be seen in person to be believed. In-store you can find many one-of-a-kind items including Signed Memorabilia, Statues from Sideshow and Iron Studios, Hot toys, Role-Playing Games, Trading Card Games, Vintage Toys, and so much more.
Do you sell Trading Card Games?
We certainly do! We carry packs and decks for some of the most popular TCGs such as Magic and Pokemon. We do not however, carry singles.
Do you buy Collections?
Yes we do. We buy collections of items similar to the items we carry in-store, which includes items like toys, collectibles, comics.
