WHY THIS RULES:

Matt Hooper works especially well as a TUBBZ character because so much of his identity comes from a few immediately readable details: the glasses, ocean gear, and the fact that he looks ready to start explaining sharks whether anyone asked or not. Numskull leans into that book-smart marine-biologist look instead of trying to turn him into an action hero. That makes the figure feel like Hooper rather than simply a Jaws-branded duck.

The PVC figure stands approximately 3.54 inches tall outside the packaging, giving it the same compact footprint as the rest of the boxed TUBBZ line. The window-box presentation makes it easy to pair Hooper with other Amity Island characters while keeping the shelf organized. For Jaws collectors, this is a fun way to represent one of the movie’s essential human characters without needing a large-scale figure or replica.

Jaws Matt Hooper TUBBZ Boxed Edition - Toys

Matt Hooper is the sharp-witted marine biologist whose shark expertise joins Brody and Quint in the hunt for the great white terrorizing Amity Island.

Matt Hooper

Matt Hooper is the young marine biologist and shark expert who comes to Amity Island in Jaws after a string of deaths raises the possibility that an unusually dangerous shark is hunting near the community’s beaches.

Hooper arrives from the Oceanographic Institute with the scientific knowledge Chief Martin Brody needs and considerably less patience for the town’s attempts to explain away what is happening. After examining the first victim, Hooper quickly rejects the official suggestion of a boating accident and identifies the injuries as the work of a large shark.

His evidence-based confidence makes him an immediate contrast to both Amity’s politically minded officials and Quint, the veteran shark hunter whose expertise comes from experience rather than academia.

Eventually, those very different men end up aboard the Orca together.

Hooper brings modern equipment, biological knowledge, scuba experience, and enough enthusiasm for sharks to voluntarily enter a cage beside one that has already demonstrated an alarming interest in eating people.

That decision does not go entirely according to plan.

Still, Hooper survives the encounter and helps turn Jaws into more than a simple monster hunt.

He is the guy insisting everyone examine the evidence.

Preferably before the evidence swims up and bites somebody.

Jaws is a legendary ocean thriller that mixes small-town storytelling with tense, unforgettable shark attacks. Fans love the suspense, the dynamic trio of Brody, Hooper, and Quint, and the gritty nautical vibe. It’s classic cinema that still bites hard.

Jaws

Jaws is the original summer blockbuster, the one that made everyone stare a little too long into the ocean before getting in. It’s suspense, small town charm, monster movie panic, and grit all wrapped into one perfectly paced thrill ride. Fans love it because it balances quiet dread with explosive moments, letting your imagination swim way ahead of the shark before it ever breaks the surface.

What really makes Jaws unforgettable is the trio at its center. Brody’s anxious determination, Hooper’s nerdy marine-biology swagger, and Quint’s weathered, salt-crusted intensity give the story real heart. The shark is terrifying, sure, but it’s the people, the town, and the creeping realization that nature doesn’t care about tourist season that keep the movie living rent-free in our heads.

Decades later the film still rules because it’s not just about a shark. It’s fear, bravery, stubbornness, and the thrill of facing something bigger than you. Plus that theme music hits your nerves like a low tide heartbeat. It’s iconic for a reason.

TUBBZ turns pop-culture icons into cosplaying rubber ducks with tons of personality. Known for clever designs and playful detail, these figures blend fandom with humor. Weird, fun, and instantly recognizable.

Tubbz

TUBBZ is a collectible line that takes iconic characters and gives them a delightfully ridiculous twist by turning them into cosplaying rubber ducks. It’s a concept that shouldn’t work, and somehow works perfectly. These figures mash up fandom love with pure novelty, resulting in collectibles that are funny, instantly recognizable, and impossible not to smile at.

The sculpt philosophy leans playful and exaggerated. Each duck keeps the classic rubber duck shape, complete with beak and floaty body, while layering on costumes, props, and details that clearly identify the character being parodied. Figures are non-articulated and designed primarily for display, though they keep that classic duck charm that makes them feel approachable and lighthearted.

Within the collectible ecosystem, TUBBZ lives in the comedy lane. These are conversation pieces, desk buddies, and shelf accents that add humor to even the most serious collection. At Mythical Mountain, TUBBZ represents joy, silliness, and the reminder that collecting is supposed to be fun.
