WHY THIS RULES:

Goku and Gohan sharing a single attack composition gives this Spectacle Battle release something most Dragon Ball statues do not have: the relationship is part of the sculpt. Bandai Spirits presents father and son together in a coordinated battle pose, so the piece reads less like two characters standing near each other and more like one frozen moment of teamwork. That makes it especially effective for collectors who want the bond between Goku and Gohan represented on the shelf instead of just another pair of solo figures.

The non-articulated plastic figure stands approximately 7.1 inches tall, giving the two-character composition enough room to stay readable without turning into an oversized centerpiece. The shared pose creates more visual activity than a single-character statue at the same height, and it also gives the piece a natural focal-point role in a Dragon Ball display. For a series built on rivalries and team-ups, this one earns its space by making the interaction itself the collectible.

WHAT IT'S GOT:

Two-character composition

Goku and Gohan are sculpted together in a coordinated Spectacle Battle pose rather than sold as separate matching figures.

Approximately 7.1 inches tall

The scale gives the paired composition enough room to read clearly while staying manageable on a standard display shelf.

Non-articulated display figure

The fixed pose keeps the focus on the father-and-son interaction and the overall battle composition.

Dragon Ball Z Son Goku & Son Gohan Spectacle Battle MASTERLISE Ichibansho Figure - Statues

Son Goku is the legendary hero of the Dragon Ball franchise, whose journey from adventurous martial artist to universe-saving warrior helped shape anime history. Optimistic, determined, and endlessly inspiring, he remains one of pop culture's greatest icons.

Son Goku

Son Goku isn't just the hero of Dragon Ball.

He's one of the most influential characters in the history of anime.

From his beginnings as a strange, monkey-tailed kid living alone in the mountains to becoming the defender of Earth, the universe, and occasionally reality itself, Goku's journey spans decades of storytelling and multiple generations of fans. Along the way, he transformed from martial arts adventurer to legendary Saiyan warrior, helping define what a shonen protagonist could be.

And honestly?
The blueprint still holds up.

What makes Goku so enduring is his simple sincerity. He's endlessly curious, relentlessly optimistic, and genuinely loves testing his limits. Unlike many heroes driven by revenge, destiny, or duty, Goku fights because he loves the challenge and because protecting others is simply the right thing to do.

That combination of innocence and determination gives him a timeless quality.

Of course, Goku is also responsible for some of the most iconic moments in anime history. The first Super Saiyan transformation. The Kamehameha. The Spirit Bomb. Ultra Instinct. Entire generations of fans can instantly recognize those moments, even if they've never watched a single episode.

That's cultural impact on a different level.

Fans love Goku because he embodies growth. No matter how strong he becomes, there's always another challenge, another opponent, another lesson to learn. Whether he's racing through adventures on the Flying Nimbus, battling Frieza on Namek, or pushing beyond his limits in Dragon Ball Super, Goku never loses that sense of wonder.

And that's part of what makes him special.

Some heroes save the day.

Goku inspires people to keep improving tomorrow.

Gohan is Goku’s gifted eldest son and one of Dragon Ball Z’s most beloved heroes, balancing incredible hidden power with kindness and intelligence. From frightened child to legendary warrior, his journey became central to the series’ heart.

Gohan

Gohan is one of the most important characters in Dragon Ball Z because he represents something fundamentally different from Goku.

Where Goku loves fighting, Gohan often fights because he has to.

The eldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi, Gohan begins the series as a shy and gentle child suddenly thrown into a universe filled with aliens, androids, monsters, and increasingly irresponsible levels of screaming. Despite his quiet nature, it quickly becomes clear that hidden beneath his kindness is staggering potential.

And when that power erupts?
It’s legendary.

What makes Gohan so compelling is the tension between the peaceful life he wants and the warrior the world constantly needs him to become. He’s intelligent, compassionate, and emotionally sensitive in ways many action protagonists are not, which makes his explosive moments of power feel incredibly impactful.

And honestly… the Cell Games transformation remains one of anime’s all-time greatest moments.

Teen Gohan ascending to Super Saiyan 2 against Cell perfectly captures everything Dragon Ball does well: emotional stakes, overwhelming power, tragedy, rage, hope, and absolutely incredible hair.

Fans love Gohan because he evolves constantly throughout the franchise. Student. Scholar. Warrior. Mentor. Superhero. Family man. Few Dragon Ball characters have explored as many different paths while still remaining unmistakably themselves.

Also… yes… Piccolo becoming his grumpy green space-dad is one of the best relationships in the entire series.

Also ALSO… Gohan repeatedly proves one important Dragon Ball truth:
the quietest character in the room may secretly be the strongest.

Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball is pure adventure energy that grows into universe shaking legend. It starts playful and curious, then keeps leveling up until the fights rattle gods, timelines, and reality itself. Fans love it because it balances humor, heart, and nonstop escalation better than almost anything else. Goku’s boundless optimism, Vegeta’s pride and growth, Gohan’s quiet strength, and a massive supporting cast make the world feel alive and endlessly rewatchable.

The franchise thrives on transformation. Training arcs, rivalries, tournaments, and power breakthroughs are baked into its DNA. From early globe trotting antics to planet busting showdowns, Dragon Ball turns self improvement into spectacle. Ki blasts light up the sky, fusion rewrites the rules, and villains arrive with personalities as big as their power levels. It’s loud, colorful, and incredibly sincere.

What keeps Dragon Ball timeless is its spirit. It celebrates effort, friendship, and the joy of pushing past your limits just to see what’s possible. It’s fun first, epic always, and packed with moments that live rent free in fandom history.

Masterlise Ichibansho delivers large-scale, non-articulated statues with bold poses and serious presence. These figures capture iconic characters in confident, centerpiece-ready sculpts. Big energy, clean detail, and easy display appeal.

Masterlise Ichibansho

Masterlise Ichibansho takes the bold presence of the Masterlise statue line and brings it into a more widely accessible release format. These figures are designed to feel like centerpiece collectibles, capturing characters in confident, iconic poses that instantly command attention. If Masterlise is about prestige, Ichibansho is about letting more fans bring that energy home.

The sculpting philosophy stays focused on impact and character authority. Figures are non-articulated and larger than standard prize-style releases, giving them a strong silhouette and visual weight on the shelf. Facial sculpts are expressive, anatomy is clean and powerful, and poses are chosen to feel definitive rather than fleeting. These figures aren’t about motion blur or effects, they’re about presence.

Within Bandai Spirits’ lineup, Masterlise Ichibansho sits comfortably between lottery-exclusive Masterlise releases and other display-focused statue lines. It delivers that same “main character energy” without the randomness of a prize draw. For collectors, it’s a reliable way to get big, statement figures that feel intentional and display-ready.
