WHY THIS RULES:

Super Saiyan God Goku changes the usual Goku shelf formula immediately because the red hair and leaner divine form read very differently from the bulkier Super Saiyan looks collectors are used to. Funko adds a forward punching pose, which keeps the figure from feeling like a simple color swap and gives the transformation some actual movement. For anyone who already owns several Gokus, that difference in silhouette matters.

The vinyl figure stands approximately 5.1 inches tall, noticeably taller than the typical four-inch Pop! baseline. That extra height gives the punching pose and upright hair more room to breathe without pushing the figure into Super Pop! territory. The result is still easy to display with standard Dragon Ball Pops, but it has enough vertical presence to stand apart from the crowd.

WHAT IT'S GOT:

Super Saiyan God form

The red hair and leaner divine transformation give this Goku a very different visual identity from standard Super Saiyan releases.

Approximately 5.1 inches tall

The taller-than-average Pop! height gives the pose more vertical presence while remaining shelf-friendly.

Punching action pose

The forward strike adds movement and keeps the release from reading like a simple transformation repaint.

Dragon Ball Super Super Saiyan God Goku Punching Pop! #2492 - Funko - Funko Pops - Common - Anime

Son Goku is the legendary hero of the Dragon Ball franchise, whose journey from adventurous martial artist to universe-saving warrior helped shape anime history. Optimistic, determined, and endlessly inspiring, he remains one of pop culture's greatest icons.

Son Goku

Son Goku isn't just the hero of Dragon Ball.

He's one of the most influential characters in the history of anime.

From his beginnings as a strange, monkey-tailed kid living alone in the mountains to becoming the defender of Earth, the universe, and occasionally reality itself, Goku's journey spans decades of storytelling and multiple generations of fans. Along the way, he transformed from martial arts adventurer to legendary Saiyan warrior, helping define what a shonen protagonist could be.

And honestly?
The blueprint still holds up.

What makes Goku so enduring is his simple sincerity. He's endlessly curious, relentlessly optimistic, and genuinely loves testing his limits. Unlike many heroes driven by revenge, destiny, or duty, Goku fights because he loves the challenge and because protecting others is simply the right thing to do.

That combination of innocence and determination gives him a timeless quality.

Of course, Goku is also responsible for some of the most iconic moments in anime history. The first Super Saiyan transformation. The Kamehameha. The Spirit Bomb. Ultra Instinct. Entire generations of fans can instantly recognize those moments, even if they've never watched a single episode.

That's cultural impact on a different level.

Fans love Goku because he embodies growth. No matter how strong he becomes, there's always another challenge, another opponent, another lesson to learn. Whether he's racing through adventures on the Flying Nimbus, battling Frieza on Namek, or pushing beyond his limits in Dragon Ball Super, Goku never loses that sense of wonder.

And that's part of what makes him special.

Some heroes save the day.

Goku inspires people to keep improving tomorrow.

Funko Pop! Animation

Funko Pop! Animation is the anime and animated heart of the Pop! universe, bringing beloved characters from animation into that instantly recognizable vinyl style. This line is where anime heroes, animated icons, and cartoon legends all get the big-head, simplified treatment that makes them pop on the shelf. It’s colorful, expressive, and unapologetically fandom-forward.

The sculpt approach stays true to the classic Pop! formula while leaning into animated character traits. Spiky hair, exaggerated costumes, signature expressions, and iconic accessories all get translated into clean, graphic shapes that read instantly. Figures are non-articulated and compact, making them easy to display solo or in massive themed lineups. The emphasis is always on recognizability and charm rather than realism.

Within the broader Pop! ecosystem, Pop! Animation is where anime fans and animation lovers really dig in. It’s one of the most expansive and fast-growing corners of the line, covering everything from long-running shonen series to cult classics and modern hits. At Mythical Mountain, Pop! Animation is pure celebration of animated storytelling in collectible form.
