Kinta Sakata is the Dandadan classmate who spent enough time obsessing over giant robots that reality eventually made the catastrophic mistake of giving him access to programmable alien material.

Kinta enters the group carrying tremendous confidence that is not always supported by the social situation around him. He wants to appear cool, impressive, attractive, mysterious, and preferably irresistible. Results vary.

Underneath the bluster is genuine insecurity. Kinta struggles socially and often interprets relationships through the heroic and romantic formulas he has absorbed from science-fiction stories. His enthusiasm for mecha is not superficial, though. He has studied the genre so thoroughly that when the group encounters nanoskin, alien material capable of taking shapes based on visualization, Kinta suddenly possesses exactly the ridiculous specialty the crisis requires.

His imagination allows him to shape the material into functioning machines, most spectacularly giant robots. What initially looks like another eccentric obsession becomes a legitimate tactical advantage.
