WHY THIS RULES:

Dark Gladion is the evil mirror-image version of Gladion, and the MODEROID kit leans into that contrast with a much darker color scheme and sharper villain energy. Clear parts recreate the Eye of Deletloss in the chest, while separate eye stickers let builders choose between the CG-series look and the opening-theme version. The result feels less like a simple palette swap and more like a full alternate-character build.

The completed model stands approximately 170 mm, about 6.7 inches tall, which gives it solid presence without pushing into oversized mecha-kit territory. Dark Blade, Dark Magnum, Dark Shield, interchangeable hands, and multicolor runners give the build plenty of display flexibility right out of the box. Although the anime design itself does not transform here, included wheel parts allow an original vehicle mode, giving the kit a second configuration without requiring a separate purchase.

WHAT IT'S GOT:

Approximately 6.7 inches tall

The 170 mm finished height gives Dark Gladion a substantial shelf presence while staying manageable for a non-scale robot kit.

Clear Eye of Deletloss part

The chest detail uses clear plastic, with alternate eye stickers for CG-series and opening-theme looks.

Three signature weapons

Dark Blade, Dark Magnum, and Dark Shield are all included along with interchangeable hands for varied poses.

Optional vehicle configuration

Included wheel parts allow an original vehicle mode even though the anime transformation itself is not recreated.

Dennou Boukenki Webdiver Dark Gladion MODEROID Model Kit - Model Kits

Dark Gladion is the sinister Web Knight created in Gladion’s image, turning one of Webdiver’s heroic designs into a weapon for the enemy.

Dark Gladion

Dark Gladion is an evil Web Knight created in the image of Gladion in Dennou Boukenki Webdiver. The resemblance is the whole point, but this is no simple paint swap. Dark Gladion exists as a hostile counterpart, copying the appearance of one of the series’ Master Web Knights while serving the forces opposed to the heroes.

Its design twists Gladion’s familiar armored silhouette into something much more sinister. Dark colors, menacing details, and the Eye of Deletloss set into its chest make the connection immediately recognizable while establishing exactly which side of the digital battlefield it occupies. It carries dark counterparts to Gladion’s weapons, including the Dark Blade, Dark Magnum, and Dark Shield.

That mirrored identity is what makes Dark Gladion fun. Evil doubles are already a proud giant-robot tradition, but Dark Gladion takes the concept literally enough to make “which one is the real one?” part of the threat. Put the two side by side and you have instant hero-versus-corrupted-copy energy.

For Webdiver fans, Dark Gladion is more than a darker version of familiar machinery. It is Gladion’s visual identity weaponized against the heroes, a recognizable shape turned into an enemy.

Dennou Boukenki Webdiver sends Kento Yuki and transforming Web Knight Gladion into a virtual world threatened by a rogue program, blending friendship, cyberspace adventure, and glorious early-2000s mecha.

Dennou Boukenki Webdiver

Dennou Boukenki Webdiver comes from a beautifully specific corner of early-2000s futurism where the Internet was mysterious, virtual worlds were obviously going to become enormous, and the correct interface for cyberspace was a transforming robot.

Set in the year 2100, the series follows elementary-school student Kento Yuki as he enters the virtual world known as Magical Gate to rescue children trapped by the evil program Deletloss. His partner is Gladion, a heroic Web Knight capable of transforming between vehicle and fighter forms.

The story mixes friendship, computer networks, digital worlds, sentient programs, transforming mecha, and the kind of earnest cyber-adventure that could only have been born when “logging on” still sounded a little bit magical.

Also, the robot was quite literally designed to be part toy, part game controller.

Peak 2001.

Moderoid delivers buildable mecha and mechanical designs in an approachable snap-fit model kit format. Designed for fun, expressive builds, these kits balance bold presence with smooth assembly. Big robots, friendly builds.

Moderoid

Moderoid is Good Smile Company’s model kit line built for fans who love robots, machines, and larger-than-life designs but still want an approachable build. This line focuses on bringing mecha, vehicles, and mechanical icons into snap-fit kits that feel satisfying without being intimidating. It’s about celebrating big designs and bold silhouettes through hands-on building.

The design philosophy blends clean engineering with character-forward style. Moderoid kits are non-scale and vary in size depending on the subject, which gives designers freedom to prioritize presence and proportion over strict accuracy. Parts snap together smoothly, color separation is thoughtful, and builds are designed to look great straight out of the box. Once assembled, many kits offer articulation and optional parts that support expressive, action-ready poses.

Within Good Smile’s ecosystem, Moderoid fills the “build it yourself” mecha lane without demanding hardcore model-building skills. It’s a welcoming bridge between traditional figures and more complex model kits. At Mythical Mountain, Moderoid is all about building something cool, enjoying the process, and ending up with a robot that feels powerful and shelf-ready.
