Yoruichi Shihoin

Yoruichi Shihoin is one of Bleach’s fastest and most accomplished fighters, a former Soul Reaper captain, noble clan leader, and stealth commander whose relaxed personality hides a staggering résumé.

Before leaving Soul Society, Yoruichi served as Captain of Squad 2, Supreme Commander of the Stealth Force, commander of its Punishment Force, and the 22nd head of the powerful Shihoin Clan. She later works closely with Kisuke Urahara and becomes a crucial mentor and ally to Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends.

Her specialty is speed.

Yoruichi is a master of Hoho movement techniques whose abilities earned her the title “Flash Master Yoruichi.” She pairs that speed with exceptional hand-to-hand combat skill and a playful confidence that lets her tease allies one moment and completely overwhelm an opponent the next.

She also spent a substantial portion of her introduction disguised as a black cat, allowing Bleach to reveal that Ichigo’s mysterious talking feline guide was actually one of Soul Society’s former elite commanders.
