Fun Fact

Risk began life in France as La Conquête du Monde, which translates to The Conquest of the World. It was created by Albert Lamorisse, the filmmaker behind The Red Balloon, making Risk a very funny little crossover between art-house cinema history and the board game where someone inevitably tries to conquer Australia.
