Motormaster does not merely want the road. He wants everyone else to understand that it belongs to him.

The brutal Decepticon commands the Stunticons with intimidation, raw strength, and the sort of leadership style normally described in workplace training videos as “absolutely do not do this.” In vehicle mode he becomes a massive truck built to dominate anything foolish enough to meet him head-on. In robot mode, the attitude somehow gets even bigger.

That obsession with being king of the road puts Motormaster naturally at odds with Optimus Prime. Both transform into powerful trucks, but the resemblance ends there. Optimus represents responsibility and leadership earned through trust. Motormaster rules because the other Stunticons know exactly what happens when they challenge him.

His importance goes beyond commanding the team. Motormaster forms the central component of Menasor, the combined Stunticon warrior whose enormous strength is matched by the barely contained hostility of the personalities inside him. Motormaster and Menasor are connected, but they are not the same Character. One is the bullying commander. The other is what happens when the entire dysfunctional crew combines into one gigantic problem.

Transformers continuity loves reinvention, so specific biographies can change. Motormaster’s core identity survives the trip: Stunticon leader, Decepticon bruiser, truck-shaped tyrant, and the loudest possible claimant to the title of king of the road.
