Part of the sprawling Love Live! universe, the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club launched as a fresh new wave of school idols in 2017 and made its major debut in the mobile game Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS. Unlike earlier Love Live! groups formed as a single unit, Nijigasaki emphasizes individual school idols coming together under one club — giving each member a chance to shine both solo and as part of sub-units.
The franchise expanded quickly into an anime adaptation with seasons airing in 2020 and 2022, adding depth to the characters, music, and storylines.

Fun Fact
The franchise’s sub-units (such as DiverDiva, A・Zu・Na, and Qu4rtz) let members form smaller groups for songs and themes, giving fans extra collectibles and variety. A visual-novel game titled TOKIMEKI Roadmap to the Future is set to launch for Nintendo Switch in April 2025, further expanding the franchise’s reach.
