Ja’Marr Chase is the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver whose explosive receiving ability quickly established him as one of the defining NFL players of his generation.
Before entering the league, Chase starred at LSU alongside quarterback Joe Burrow. His 2019 season helped power the Tigers to an undefeated national championship, while Chase won the Biletnikoff Award as college football’s top receiver after recording 1,780 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns.
Cincinnati selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, reuniting him with Burrow.
That worked out fairly well.
Chase opened his NFL career with 1,455 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns as a rookie. By the end of his first five seasons, the Bengals credited him with five straight Pro Bowl selections, 500-plus receptions, and five consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns. His 2024 season was especially dominant: Chase led the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns to capture the receiving Triple Crown.
As of the 2026 season, Chase remains Cincinnati’s No. 1 wide receiver.
