Howie Mandel voiced Gizmo. That’s right — the same guy from Deal or No Deal brought the Mogwai to life with his baby-faced squeaks and chirps. Also, Gremlins helped create the PG-13 rating. Alongside Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Gremlins was intense enough that it helped push the MPAA to create a new middle-ground rating.
