Ginny Weasley is the youngest child and only daughter of the Weasley family, a skilled witch whose confidence, magical ability, and stubborn courage grow enormously across the Harry Potter story.
Ginny begins as a shy young witch deeply flustered around Harry, but that early awkwardness does not define her for long. She develops into an accomplished duelist and Quidditch player, serving as both Seeker and Chaser for Gryffindor and becoming especially notorious for her Bat-Bogey Hex.
She also refuses to remain on the sidelines when things become dangerous.
Ginny fights with Dumbledore’s Army, stands alongside Harry and the others against Voldemort’s forces, and later resists the Death Eater-controlled Hogwarts during Harry’s absence. Her determination becomes especially clear during the Battle of Hogwarts, when being told to stay safe goes about as well as anybody familiar with the Weasley family should expect.
Ginny grows from the little sister everyone worries about into someone fully capable of worrying everyone else.
Fred and George would probably call that successful parenting.
