LET’S EAT!!!

Text displayed on Chica’s signature bib throughout Five Nights at Freddy’s

Chica

Chica is the original yellow chicken animatronic from Five Nights at Freddy’s, one of the restaurant performers whose harmless daytime mascot job becomes considerably less reassuring after midnight.

She belongs to the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza lineup alongside Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, and Foxy. Chica’s design is immediately recognizable: bright yellow body, orange beak and legs, and a white bib emblazoned with the aggressively cheerful words “LET’S EAT!!!”

During the first game’s night shifts, Chica leaves the stage and moves through the restaurant toward the security office, generally approaching from the right side. Like the other animatronics, she forces the player to track her movements through security cameras while carefully managing limited power.

Later games introduce numerous chicken animatronics and Chica-related forms, including Toy Chica and Withered Chica. Those names matter. Standard Chica remains the original character rather than an umbrella label for every yellow nightmare carrying a cupcake.

The mascot is Chica.

The newer murder chicken is Toy Chica.

Fun Fact

Chica’s cupcake became such a recognizable part of her design that later appearances and merchandise frequently treat the little frosted companion as almost inseparable from her visual identity.
