Where younger characters rush toward an uncertain future, Challia has already seen enough history to know that revolutions, victories, and brilliant plans rarely unfold exactly as advertised. His calm demeanor, political awareness, and habit of revealing considerably less than he seems to know give him an air of perpetual calculation.

That makes Challia particularly fascinating within GQuuuuuuX, a series built around familiar Gundam history taking increasingly unfamiliar turns. The character himself comes from the original Mobile Suit Gundam, but this alternate history gives the man from Jupiter a dramatically expanded role, allowing an older Gundam figure to become a major presence in a completely new version of events.
