During the One Year War, Char Aznable succeeds in capturing the Earth Federation's revolutionary Gundam at Side 7, fundamentally changing both the machine's destiny and the history surrounding it.

A familiar legend becomes something completely different.

By the main era of GQuuuuuuX, the Red Gundam has become a mysterious and highly sought-after mobile suit connected to Shuji Ito and the dangerous world of Clan Battles. Other pilots actively seek it out, information about it carries enormous value, and its presence suggests that the consequences of the altered One Year War are far from finished.

What makes the Red Gundam so compelling isn't simply the paint job.
